Scooter Lifts - Why They Are Needed

Although mobility scooters provide their disabled users with the ability to travel around their homes and immediate local areas, there is often a need to use the scooter at some other location.
In some cases it may be possible to use the scooter to travel to the desired destination, as modern battery technology has enabled some battery mobility scooters to have a range of over 20 miles. Travelling long distances may not be desirable and there may also be obstacles en route that the scooter cannot overcome. It is unlikely that the battery can be charged away from home, so the max distance of the destination cannot be more than half the vehicles range. e.g 10 miles.
The only practical solution is to transport the scooter and the user to the desired location. There are some scooters that can be disassembled and transported in the trunk of the car. However, using a motorized scooter lift is the ideal way to transport the scooter.
The lift is normally attached to the rear of the vehicle and not only lifts the scooter, but holds it securely in place during the journey. An additional benefit is that the no room is taken up inside the car.
Purchasing a lift for your scooter is an affordable way to transport it with the least amount of convenience.
